e-shopping

According to my "sources" and believe me i have many of them...you all need to GET BACK TO WORK!!!

The Monday after Thanksgiving is becoming the new "Black Friday." Yep, L.L. Bean and J Crew servers are going to be crashing any minute now...as on-line shoppers (hello Larry in accounting) are looking for the latest deals and piling purchases into the virtual shopping cart...getting ready to give the gift of plaid.

According to my other sources...this week is ALSO GAMES WEEK!!!!

so...i've put the two together and come up with a fun game for you to play today. first, make a list of names of the people you need to shop for. Next, open up your Bulk e-mail folder (SPAM guard on...off i've found it doesn't matter) and assign items (in consecutive order) to the people on your list...

So far, (to illustrate) here's what my list looks like

Mom--replica watch
Dad--uh, hmmm think pharmaceuticals (it starts with a
V and ends with RA)
Brother--hmmm ditto the above!!!! in larger doses
Elly--free home healthcare

okay...and now mail the list to Grandma. should be an exciting x-mas!!!

anyway.

happy monday,

Turkey dance move

Good Morning (...or good night),

This move should help you get your "groove on" on the dance floor. Mitty Mix-a-lot makes an appearance and offers her uh, comments : ).

a field experiment

My apologies to Mother Earth but...a thought experiment MUST be carried out IN the field...

For reference that's a 10lbs. Core Ball (i.e. medicine ball) and a tennis ball.

Dear Target... how are the kids gonna throw this?

Peace.

Go Green!

Good Morning,

In case you missed it and apparently many people did, last week was “Green Week” at NBC.

With the help of Al Gore and David Schwimmer (Ross of Friends) in green tights, NBC infused its weekly programming with eco-friendly themes.

According to my weekly research, the Green Peacock is not the only subtle reminder company’s are using these days to encourage us to be more mindful of our planet.

For example, yesterday I had a few errands to run. I returned home and here’s what I found:

(on outside of the plastic Target bag)

10 Ways to Reuse Your Target Bag

1. Tiny Trash Can Liner
2. Doggie Duty
3. Water Balloon
4. Road Trip Rubbish
5. Soggy Laundry
6. Ice Pack
7. Toiletry Tote
8. Kitty Litter Liner
9. Tomorrow’s Lunch Bag
10. Care Package Padding

Sadly this reminder did nothing to encourage my love for Mother Earth…I don’t mean to be cantankerous, but all I could think was what good is a water balloon that i can’t throw…or catapult?

...3. a Water Balloon? my thought experiment suggested it is going to be larger than a bowling ball smaller than…say a 200 lbs. atlas stone. And I imagine about that heavy…

I suppose I could go to the top of a building and drop it down below but a likely result here seems death, paralysis, property damage and my arrest.

further...

How is this suggestion helping to save the planet if it takes depleting our nations lakes and rivers to fill it?

just some of my thoughts this morning

hmmm

Is the idea to fill to an appropriate size then twist and tie? Again, not a good water balloon. seems the left over excess would make throwing it a feat parallel to the Olympic hammer throw. For the kids there would be no balloon toss just wildly scattered divergent balloon slinging (believe me no body wins in that game...)

anyway, THUS

i feel i am qualified to offer my own eco-friendly suggestions:

1. shower cap
2. grandma’s x-mas present (little festive rain bonnet she can wear to church)
3. set up as rifle shooting practice for a team of veeeeeery tiny elves
4. cut out along the bottom seam to make a trendy tank
5. fill with beans and take it to your next meditation sitting—they’ll think wow that Ron…he’s so Zen doesn’t even own a pillow
6. fill with noodles and stick your foot in it (no reason, just think it would feel cool)
7. take to the theater and crinkle it so that big guy in front of you moves
8. stick it in your pants and walk around awhile in honor of those who wear adult diapers
9. keep in glove box for emergency barfing
10. plastic bag depository, use to hold other plastic bags then discard when full in recycling bin

okay,

Happy Monday!!

Doin' Da Butt

With one misclick of the mouse button, I ended up with the "You Got Served! Take It To the Streets" DVD from NetFlicks. Saturday night I was expecting to watch a movie, I hit play... and found the most ill-conceived storyline ever. There was no plot??? just a guy named Dave...dancing with his posse! I guess I had clicked on the "You Got Served!" Disc Two--Instructional Video.

okay, my point? when you make a mistake...sometimes, just go with it. Here's my latest dance efforting inspired by Dave???
